The trove of documents indicates the sheer amount of information from both sides that the jury was restricted from hearing, something Heard had voiced her frustration with shortly after the verdict, saying she had a “binder worth of years of notes” that allegedly supported her claims of abuse. Meanwhile, Depp’s camp had tried to argue they should be permitted the possibility of using nude photos of Heard to rebut her claims of abuse and labeled Heard’s team attempt to include mention of his medications as a ploy to embarrass the actor. (Manson has denied all claims of physical and sexual abuse against him.)

In the past, Manson has used controversy to make bold political statements and to draw attention to the undeniable darkness of the world. Therefore, the issue with “Say10” is not the explicit content, but rather the excessive and utterly meaningless use of obscene imagery. Shocking imagery is, and always has been, quintessential to Manson’s style. What originally presented itself as a captivating plot quickly degrades into a cheap scheme to garner sex appeal that repeats itself throughout the video. The video primarily consists of Manson and Depp sitting in thrones surrounded by naked women. But these elements are not enough to redeem the unsubstantial and meaningless content. On the surface, the “Say10” music video is well made the shots are artistic and capture the twisted nature of the song, while the lighting and color contrast serves to create striking images.
